Cu iubire

Hi I’m Marina,

A Moldovan/Northern Irish graphic designer with a passion of creating immersive experiences through design. As a creative person I enjoy finding new ways to incorporate tactility and interaction
into my work.

I specialise in packaging, advertising and experiential design, but love to experiment and find new ways to incorporate physical mediums in to digital design. Outside of my specialities, I have worked with photography, animation, book and textile design, finding comfort in creativity.

I am a recent graduate from Edinburgh Napier University and have worked as a freelance graphic designer which has helped me develop skills in communicating with clients.

I hope to continue developing my skills through diverse projects and would like to learn more about the commercial process.

While studying for my HND, I developed my photography skills through the interest of expression in fashion, identity and culture throughout history. I find that this interest has continued to be at the core of my work today.

Physical textures and mediums are a common theme in my work.

I found that incorporating physical mediums have helped me convey a feeling of tactility, creating more immersive and engaging experiences within my projects. This is important for me as a designer, as I enjoy noticing the small details in the work of others and love to see people engaging with my work as I do.

I think that my out-of-box thinking, and adaptive personality was highlighted in my HND work, which was completed during the pandemic. I used my mix-medium skills to create my own photography sets of everyday items and rubbish.

Through studying for my bachelor’s in design, I have developed my attention to detail and typography skills, leading to a greater interest in packaging, advertising and experiential design.

I found that I enjoyed the process of creating larger campaigns and working with designers of different disciplines, sharing in the interest of 3D design.

I would love to learn more about the commercial process, aiding in taking ideas from the concept to digital outcome, to physical outcome.

Secret 7 - 2025

This year  I  was lucky enough to be a Secret 7 competition winner! Secret 7 is a fundraiser that uses a love of music and art to raise money for children affected by conflict. It has been such an honour to be able to share my love of art and connect with other artist to contribute to such an important organisation.

I'm excited to share my contribution soon and hope that it brings as much joy to whoever will own my sleeve as I had making it.

see it soon
